Dear Alexander (Sasha) Trupanob,

We have not forgotten you, your fate, and that of your loved ones and are happy, that you are free. Welcome home! You are forever in our hearts. Israel is not alone. You are not alone. There are also people in Germany who stand behind you and want to encourage you. There is a reason to look forward and keep going. It is a difficult, rocky road back to life, but I am sure it can be done. Whether you are surviving hostages or have lost loved ones, we wish you comfort in your grief. We pray for you.

I would like to bring to your minds, an only child, 28yr old, Alexander (aka Sasha) Troufanov, who immigrated to Israel from Russia with his family when he was 3yrs old and is STILL being held in Hamas captivity in Gaza. His 50yr old mother Lena, 73yr old grandmother Yelena Tati and his girlfriend Sapir Cohen, were released in a hostage exchange on 30th November. His father Vitali was murdered in their home, Kibbutz Nir Oz on 7th October.

Sasha is a born genius, the brains of his group. He was a master engineer working at Annapurna Labs, a subsidiary of Amazon.
A sociable, witty and funny guy who enters the heart of all the people around him and brings light wherever he is.
He is a true friend, humble and has a heart bigger than gold. His friends always joke that the taller he is the more sensitive he is. Sasha is handsome, charismatic, tall and sturdy. Fitness and proper nutrition are an integral part of his daily routine.
As a manager he created a daily ritual with his team - coffee at 3 o'clock. Sasha would make his entire team leave the keyboards, get up from their station and come and have coffee with him. It was the Holy of Holies for him, and everyone would join him.
This was their time to chat and connect, to get to know each other personally and not only around work. When we feel connected with each other at work, when we get to know each other and when managers get to see the human beings that are showing up every single day, work becomes meaningful and of course, performance soars. If you can create this kind of team environment, then you're doing great as a manager. And that's what Sasha was, every day.
I would like to pass on a request from his team, who have called for people to come together and drink coffee at 3 o'clock and upload their pictures to social media and include the hashtag

please help spread Sasha’s plight further.
When the long-awaited day happens and he returns to Israel and to work, it is important for Sasha’s friends to show him that people did think about him, that people did care, that he was missed and was never forgotten.
I personally have not missed a day of having, and posting, my coffee break, since seeing his friends post at the beginning of November, even on the day of my son's wedding a few months ago.
