62
Adrienne (Aviva) was born in South Africa and at the age of eight, she immigrated to Israel. Aviva is a kind and loving person. Her heart is filled with warmth and compassion, reflecting her sensitivity, especially towards children.
Together with her husband Keith, who immigrated from the United States, she established her home in kibbutz Kfar Aza over 40 years ago. There, their four children were born. Aviva is an educator, a kindergarten teacher beloved among children and parents. At the age of 62, she can't imagine retiring, stating that she'll work with children as long as she can - and as long as they agree. She already has five grandchildren.
On Saturday October 7th the Siegal’s peaceful lives on the kibbutz were shattered when Hamas terrorists invaded their home. Witnessed by a neighbor, Aviva and Keith were forcefully taken by armed terrorists outside their residence. Subsequently, Hamas released a video on Telegram depicting them inside their own car, crossing into the Gaza strip.
Aviva was released on 26 November as part of a temporary cease-fire deal. Shir, the youngest daughter of Aviva and Keith, expresses her astonishment upon hearing from her mother about the harsh conditions endured in captivity, remarking, "Her accounts are chilling tales of horror."
Nowadays, in Israel and abroad, Aviva is fighting with all her might for Keith and all the other hostages to return - because she knows what they are going through in there.
