Or grew up in Rishon LeZion, a devoted fan of the local Maccabi Rishon sports club, where he played in the youth division. Known for his perpetual happiness and his bright smile, Or is a self-taught computer programming whiz who played a pivotal role in a successful startup. He shared his life with his wife Einav and their two-year-old son, Almog, in a world brimming with adventure and love, dreaming of expanding their family.
The couple, always poised for spontaneous road trips, their car equipped with a tent just for those moments, cherished exploring new destinations, and had a shared enthusiasm for music festivals. This passion led them to the Nova trance music festival in the Israeli desert.
On the weekend of Simchat Torah, Or and Einav entrusted Almog to the care of his grandparents to attend the festival near Re'im. A series of text messages to their parents documented their last moments together, culminating in an urgent message from Or about rushing to safety amidst rocket attacks.
The aftermath saw beautiful Einav's life brutally taken by Hamas terrorists within the supposed safety of a shelter, while Or was forcibly kidnapped to Gaza, leaving a profound, painful void in the heart of their family.
