Aviv Atzili

49

Aviv Atzili was the loving husband of Liat Beinin Atzili and a dedicated father to their three children. The Atzili family lived in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
Aviv used to manage the agricultural tools workshop of the kibbutz. Aviv was also an artist - a painter and sculptor with a unique style. In his works he used a special technique in combination with metal. The works, which he presented in two exhibitions in 2023, were created on parts of plows or tractor pistons and show his deep connection to the land.
Aviv was kidnapped along with his wife Liat on October 7th. Their house was completely burned down. Aviv's mother Telma hid under the bed in the safe room for 10 hours that Saturday, and luckily, survived. While Liat and Aviv were being held hostage, Telma was looking after their three children (aged 18, 20, and 22).
On November 29th, Liat was released from Hamas captivity as part of a temporary cease-fire agreement, 54 days after she was kidnapped.
Tragically, one day later, on November 30th, the kibbutz announced the heart-breaking announcement that Aviv Atzili was murdered.
Honor the memory of Aviv
Aviv was kidnapped by Hamas, and later his family was informed that he was murdered.
