"Eden believed in peace, freedom, and coexistence. A true flower child," her mother Orit and uncle Ilan describe her. "Strong and empowering, full of generosity and kindness."
"If there's one word that can define Eden, it's 'winner'," her mother testifies. "It was evident in every competition she ever participated in. She always came in first place – a true winner. She is very wise, sharp-minded, creative, and resilient. She achieves amazing feats while maintaining integrity, honesty, and compassion."
Her family describes her as family-oriented, loving music, delicious food, and nature walks. A spiritual woman who loves people, especially those who are unique like her. She loves the sea, traveling the world, and is always excited by the wonders of nature. Ambitious, courageous, she does more and speaks less, and since fourth grade, she has run a school newspaper that she herself founded. The school's principal said that one day she would replace her.
On Saturday October 7, Eden was at the Nova music festival near Re'im with her partner Ofek Kimhi (23) and their friend Livnat. When the murderous Hamas attack began, they escaped from the festival area. They tried to save themselves, but then faced a Hamas roadblock near kibbutz Mefalsim. Ofek was shot and killed. Eden was abducted, wounded and unconscious. Livnat was injured, but she survived the murderous attack.
Seventy days after that horrible day, the bitter news of Eden's murder arrived in Israel. Her body was recovered by IDF soldiers of brigade 551 from the underground tunnels in the refugee camp of Jabalia, Gaza. Eden was 28 years old at the time of her death.

When Eden’s mother, Orin, thinks of her daughter, she remembers the fighter, the cheerful girl who fills every room she enters with light. In her last phone call with her parents, just before the line was cut off, Eden managed to ask them one last request: 'They are shooting at me, please take care of the dogs.'
Singer-songwriter Hadar Zecharya wrote and sings this song in honor of Eden. It is called “Be’Gan Eden” (In heaven) בגן עדן:
