Eitan, originally from Kiryat Arba, lives in Jerusalem and works in a café, and occasionally as a security guard.
Tzvika Mor, Eitan's father, depicts his son as a figure of independence, proactivity, and warmth, renowned for being a source of assistance and hospitality within the Nachlaot community.
Eitan was serving as a security guard at the Nova music festival near Re’im. On October 7th, at nine in the morning, Eitan made an urgent phone call to his uncle, describing the harrowing events he was witnessing. This was the last time anyone had direct communication with Eitan. Later, his family received a distressing photo showing him lying on the ground, taking cover with others behind a land fold.
Moshe, a witness at the scene, provided details of Eitan's last known actions of bravery. Eitan and his childhood best friend, Elyakim Liebman, who was also kidnapped, were actively involved in evacuating casualties amid the chaos. They utilized an ATV to transport the wounded. Around 2:30 p.m., they found two girls in dire condition. Determined not to leave them behind, they managed to hide one in a pit and went back to rescue the other. Despite Moshe's appeals to continue moving, Eitan and Elyakim were adamant about their decision to prevent the girl from being abducted. After this courageous effort, Eitan and Elyakim disappeared.
To support Eitan and the other hostages, his family has initiated a project to build a synagogue, transforming their concern into a testament of faith and community.
