Emilia is a beautiful 5 year old girl, living with her mother Daniel in Yavne. Emilia loves to cook, make puzzles, and dress up as her favorite characters.
Daniel and Emilia were kidnapped on Saturday the 7th of October while visiting family in Kibbutz Nir Oz. They were kidnapped alongside Daniel’s sister Sharon, Sharon's husband David, and their three-year-old twin girls Emma and Yuli.


During her captivity, Emilia made super sweet, naive drawings of the family of Yelena Trupanob, from Kibbutz Be’eri, who was in captivity together with her and her mother. These drawings and many more are now being exhibited in an amazing street art project called #yozrimtikva (Hebrew for ‘creating hope’).
Helen Mirren, the actress, has written a story about Emilia and her concern for her and her mother Daniel.
Daniel and Emilia were released from Gaza after 49 days in Hamas captivity, as part of a temporary cease-fire agreement.
