Hamzah Al-Ziadneh
Hamzah Al-Ziadneh
21
Hamza Al-Ziadneh was kidnapped on October 7th along with his father Yosef Hamis Al-Ziadneh (53), younger brother Bilal (18) and sister Aisha (17). The family worked in the dairy farm of Kibbutz Holit, what could be considered the most Zionist job there is, a far cry from the stereotype and narrative of "the wild south" or "the Bedouin rioters".
Hamzah’s family tells about him: "He is charming, loved by the youngsters. His age group misses him so much because he was so connected to them. He has a cousin who cries for him every day. They would go out together, ride horses, go to the beach. Hamza loves horses very much. He has a horse at home and also raises sheep. A great guy."
Hamzah is married and a father of two young children. He has worked with his father since the age of 18. "They have a really good relationship," a family member notes, and we hope that they are together there, and will come back together.
Aisha and Bilal Al-Ziadneh were released after 55 days in Hamas captivity as part of a temporary cease-fire deal. However, Hamza and Yosef are still held hostage by Hamas in Gaza, and their family and community await anxiously for their safe return home.
With deep sorrow and profound grief, we received the heartbreaking news on 09-08/01/2025 that Yosef and Hamzah, who were held captive by Hamas, are no longer alive.
Their bodies were recovered from Gaza and brought to rest in Israel. Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time, and we share in their deep pain.
Please share your condolences
with the Hamzah family
