Mohammad Alatrash, who has been missing since the October 7th Hamas assault on southern Israel, has been confirmed two months later to be among the hostages who are being held captive by Hamas.
Mohammad Alatrash is married to two women and has 13 children, the youngest was born in 2023.
His father said, "Since the attack, we have received no information about him. Only two days ago (in December), we began to receive information that perhaps he is among the hostages. We are waiting to hear about his condition, hear his voice, and to bring him back to the family."
.
Alatrash's uncle added, "Our lives have been abnormal since Muhammad’s abduction. It is not easy for us to cope with such a difficult atmosphere, especially because we do not know if he is alive or not. We hope to receive good news. He brings so much joy to all of us. The children ask every day about their father, when he is going to come back, but we have no way to get any answers for them." Mohammad’s family and community are anxiously waiting for his safe return home
We were deeply saddened to hear the announce of the death of Master Sergeant Mohammad Alatrash.
Mohammad was kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas on October 7, 2023. He served in the IDF as a tracker in the Norther Brigade of the Gaza Division.
After seven long months of awful uncertainty, he was declared a fallen IDF soldier.
Mohammad resided in the Bedouin village of Sa'wa affiliated with the Alatrash tribe. He left behind two wives and 13 children.
Please share your condolences with his family
