Raz Ben Ami

57

Raz is bursting with creativity and is always positive. In recent years, Raz has been exploring various artistic fields: painting, Fimo jewelry, beaded necklaces, and more. Lately, she began volunteering in the Kibbutz with the elderly.
Raz is a model of family values. Her home is warm and green, filled with potted plants and flowers. For the past 13 years, she has been dealing with severe pain but never complains. Despite her physical challenges, Raz insists on cooking Friday meals and spending time with her family every Friday.
On Saturday October 7, Raz was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from her home on Kibbutz Be'eri along with her husband, Ohad.
Raz was released after 57 days in captivity as part of a temporary cease-fire deal. She was held in inhumane conditions, and her health deteriorated since she didn't receive the medication she needed due to an illness. During her captivity, her family pleaded with officials from the Red Cross in Israel, Germany, and the USA to try to get her medication delivered, but their requests were denied.
Ohad Ben Ami, Raz’s 55-year-old husband and father to their three daughters, is still held hostage in Gaza. Raz and the girls are passionately campaigning for their beloved Ohad’s release
