Raz Katz Asher

Raz, an Israeli-German citizen, lives in Ganot Hadar together with her mother Doron, her father Yoni, and her little sister Aviv, age 2. Raz loves dolls and especially enjoys playing with her sister Aviv in an ice-cream shop type of play. The girls enjoy asking family and friends which kind of ice cream they would like to receive, what flavor, and whether they prefer it in a cup or a cone.
Raz is a beautiful, delicate, sensitive, clever, and good-hearted little girl.
Raz was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from her grandmother’s home on kibbutz Nir Oz. She was kidnapped along with her two-year-old sister Aviv and their mother Doron while visiting grandma for the holiday. The father, Yoni Asher, stayed at home in Natanya and did not join them on this visit.
The grandmother, Doron’s mother, Efrat Katz (70) was murdered. Efrat's partner, Gadi Moshe Mozes, was also kidnapped that Saturday. Doron’s brother, Ravid, was murdered by Hamas terrorists and taken into Gaza.
While in captivity, Doron and the girls made a deck of cards and drew the foods they badly missed.
Raz, Aviv and Doron were released from Hamas captivity as part of a temporary cease-fire deal on November 25th.
