Staff Sgt. Tomer Yaakov Ahimas, 20, from Lehavim.
First Sergeant Tomer Ahimas from Lahavim, tragically fell on October 7, 2023, while bravely defending Kibbutz Nirim. Sadly, his body was abducted and is currently held in Gaza.
Tomer leaves behind a grieving family: his father, Moshe; mother, Anat; sisters, Gil and Maya; and brothers, Eyal and Amir, the latter being Tomer's twin. This separation marks the first time they've truly been apart. Since birth, they've been inseparable, sharing even the simplest tasks like mowing the lawn.
Known for his determination and motivation, Tomer was sought after by all, excelling in every endeavor, be it tennis, academics, or relationships. Fridays were reserved for soccer matches with friends, where his competitive spirit shone through, enjoying even the occasional scuffle on the field.

Tomer was kidnapped by Hamas, and later his family was informed that he fell in battle.
