Tsachi Idan
Tsachi Idan
49
Tsachi Idan is a family man. He is very attached to his wife, Gali, and their children, whom he loves deeply, and is also attached to his brothers Noam, Doron and Udi and to his mother, Dvorah.
Tsachi was very close to his father, Doodi, who suddenly passed away in November 2022. Tsachi had a hard time containing the pain. After his father's death, Tzachi took his place in the extended family. Both Tsachi and his father were football fans. Tsachi is a fan of Hapoel Tel Aviv - including a subscription to gate 7 in Bloomfield and made many trips to follow the beloved team around the country and the world. His father, however, was a Maccabi fan. They went to games together in Israel and abroad; for example, to France and England.
Tsachi is a devoted and investing father. They travel a lot together. They especially like to hike in the Nahal Oz area and play together on the sports field in the kibbutz. Tsachi also likes to listen to music, to watch movies and laugh a lot.
Tsachi was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists who broke into his home on Kibbutz Nahal Oz on Saturday October 7th. Maayan, Tsachi’s 18-year-old daughter, was severely shot. Tsachi tried the best he could to save her life, but tragically, Maayan died in her father’s arms. The absence of Tsachi, with mourning Maayan's passing, has created a profound void within the Idan family's heart.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Tsachi Idan.
Tsachi was kidnapped by Hamas to Gaza on October 7, 2023, from his home on Kibbutz Nahal Oz. Sixteen (16) months later, he was returned to Israel as part of the second hostage agreement. The Idan family was informed that Tsachi had been murdered by his captors.
Tsachi, a devoted family man, left behind his wife, Gali, and their children, Yael and Shahar. His eldest daughter Ma’ayan (18) was murdered at home on October 7th.
Please share your condolences with his family
